Cutler completes the new 156,378 s/f, 7-story Willard Sq. independent living apartments at Linden Ponds for Erickson Living

Hingham, MA Cutler Associates completed the new 156,378 s/f, 7-story Willard Sq. independent living apartment residence at Linden Ponds. This is the second project Cutler has completed for Erickson Living, a leading national developer and manager of retirement communities.

Linden Ponds, like all of Erickson’s properties, is a vibrant continuing care retirement community. The 108-acre campus is home to nearly 1,300 residents who enjoy an active and engaged lifestyle. Willard Sq. adds 104 independent living apartments, with spacious floorplan options, and completes the buildout of Linden Pond’s second neighborhood.

The new residence introduces expanded apartment layouts to meet customer demands for more space and enhanced finishes. Careful project coordination was necessary, as residents personalize their apartment homes through cabinet and countertop selection and can elect to purchase upgraded flooring and appliances.

Substantial amenity areas are included within the Willard Sq. building, such as a 2,000 s/f multi-purpose/meeting space to accommodate the growing number of resident activities and clubs. Throughout construction, logistics planning was critical, as the new residence attaches to Derby Clubhouse, located less than 30-feet from the new building. The clubhouse is a hub of activity for both residents and staff, with administrative offices, restaurants, a pub, performing arts center, and other amenities. Derby Clubhouse remained open throughout 15 months of construction, which was completed on time for the first residents to move in this past April.
