Cutler Assoc. awarded contract for 304,000 s/f whse./dist. facility - $9m

Cutler Associates signed new contracts with several key corporate clients including Griffin Land, American Superconductor, and New Balance.  Cutler Design is the architect for all three projects. "Adding this new work to our current projects here in New England and our offices in Pennsylvania and Florida yields the highest backlog we've had in three years" according to Fred Mulligan, president of Cutler Assoc. "This is currently a time of great economic difficulty, but it is also a great time to buy design and construction services.  We are finding that we can deliver extraordinary value to our customers through our design-build, open-shop capability." Cutler will design-build at 304,000 s/f warehouse and distribution facility at 100 International Dr. in Windsor, Conn. for real estate developer Griffin Land. Cutler Design is the architect for the $9 million project, which is scheduled for completion in July.  In addition, a 115,000 s/f interior fit-up project is underway at 2 Technology Dr. for American Superconductor in Westborough, Mass. The $590,000 project entails selective interior demolition, lead abatement, cleaning and minor fit-up work.
