Cushman & Wakefield senior project managers receive CoreNet recognition

Johnston, RI According to Cushman & Wakefield, Citizens Bank’s campus received the 2019 CoreNet New England award for Best New Large Workplace. Rob Learnard and David Varone, senior project managers for Cushman & Wakefield’s Boston project & development services team, were the development managers for the project.

“This project was two years in the making and we’re proud to have delivered a premiere workplace experience with the latest amenities to our client,” said Varone. “We’re honored to receive this recognition from CoreNet for our team’s ongoing commitment to raising the bar in customer service and delivering exceptional results for our clients.”

Varone and Learnard led the team in the design, permitting and construction of the 425,000 s/f five-building campus, a 1,265-space parking garage, new on and off ramps from an interstate highway, as well as 1-1/2 miles of new sewer main, two miles of new water service and an on-site 1 million gallon water tank.

The completed workplace consolidates three separate locations in Rhode Island into a single campus of four interconnected buildings. The design of the campus is meant to enhance the workplace experience, improve colleague engagement by bringing 3,000 coworkers together from disparate offices, and promote work-life balance.

David Hawkins and Steve Ernst of Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa office and Pete Hayes of Hayes & Sherry represented Citizens Bank from the brokerage side.
