Cummings Properties signs Joule Unlimited to 7,000 s/f at 1-B Gill Street

Joule Unlimited, Inc., a producer of renewable fuels from sunlight and waste CO2, has signed a lease for 7,000 s/f of lab space at 1-B Gill St. to supplement its current headquarters location in Cambridge. According to Cummings Properties leasing agent Robb LaBossiere, the real estate firm was able to meet Joule's requirements in a quick and cost efficient manner by accommodating the clean tech company in existing lab space. LaBossiere worked directly with Joule on the lease. "We have a long history of catering to biotech firms of all sizes and with a variety of space needs. If we don't have a fully built out lab appropriate for a client, then our in-house design and construction departments have the expertise to build out a custom facility," LaBossiere said. Joule was founded in 2007 by Flagship VentureLabs. Its Helioculture platform converts sunlight and waste CO2 directly into liquid fuels in a continuous process that is not limited by costly biomass intermediates, processing, or use of precious natural resources. Additional information is available at www.jouleunlimited.com. During Cummings Properties' 40 years in the suburban Boston commercial real estate industry, it has earned a solid reputation for providing businesses with well-located highway properties at reasonable rates. With highly visible locations along Route 128/I-95 and I-93, the firm's 10 million square feet of prime space accommodates executive offices, healthcare facilities, laboratories, retail storefronts, warehouses, and more.
