Woburn, MA Cummings Properties has appointed Stephanie Aitchison and John Halsey to its executive committee. This 11-member team serves as the governing body for the commercial real estate developer.
Now vice president of Beverly division, Aitchison joined Cummings’ Woburn operations department in 2004 as an executive trainee. She moved to Cummings Center, Beverly, the following year to support the company’s North Shore presence.
Aitchison later assumed leadership of the Beverly leasing and operations groups. In 2016, she was appointed associate general manager of the 2.7 million s/f Beverly portfolio, headquartered at Cummings Center.
Cummings Center is home to more than 600 businesses of industries, including corporate headquarters, medical offices, light manufacturing, research laboratories, and amenity providers. Its staff of 100 employees lease and manage the 80-acre property as well as Cummings’ Dunham Ridge innovation campus and Elliott Landing condominiums.
“Stephanie has built an impressive knowledge base about everything from contract drafting and negotiations to design, construction, legal matters, and more,” said Cummings chairman and CEO Dennis Clarke.
Aitchison graduated from Brandeis University with a dual degree in psychology and sociology, and was a member of the track and field team.
Halsey, now vice president of leasing, also began his tenure as a member of Cummings’ Woburn operations team. Hired as an account manager in 2016, he was tasked with developing the company’s relationships with its current clients as well as cultivating new leasing prospects.
Halsey was named Woburn leasing manager in 2021, having increased his client portfolio by a factor of 16 and set a departmental high for new leases signed in a single year. He assumed leadership of a seven-member team as well as all new business development efforts across 10 of the 11 communities in which Cummings operates commercial buildings.
“John has demonstrated a tremendous capacity for driving business development,” said Clarke. “From formulating pricing schedules and strategy to advancing broker relationships and spearheading new lease negotiations, he has proven himself a judicious, strategic leader with strong business acumen.”
An Endicott College alumnus, Halsey formerly served as an associate director in the college’s advancement department and a senior account manager at a sports technology firm.
