Cronin of Colliers International represents Northeastern University and the city of Woburn in $6.7 million sale
Colliers International has successfully brokered the sale of a 74.5-acre development site called Whispering Hills located on the Burlington/Woburn line on Cambridge Rd. Public records list the sale price for the site at $6.7 million. Senior vice president Robert Cronin represented both the seller, Northeastern University, and the buyer, the city of Woburn.
Northeastern originally acquired the site in the 1980s with intentions of expanding its suburban campus, located across the street from the Whispering Hills site.
Cronin said, "Although a number of very qualified development firms submitted purchase proposals to Northeastern on this site, Northeastern felt that the 'right' thing to do was to sell the property to the city of Woburn so that the local community can benefit from this wonderful open-space for many years to come. It was a beneficial transaction for both the buyer and the seller."
