Cresa, North America's leading tenant representation firm, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The firm was founded in 1993 by the formation of an alliance between four tenant representation firms. Today, the organization spans 58 offices in North America with over $235 million in annual revenue and employs over 800 people. The original Cresa firms each averaged 10-year histories in their respective markets when they joined together in 1993 to form the CresaPartners alliance. In 1998, the organization became CresaPartners LLC with the goal of building a stronger entity through the fusion of best-in-market tenant representation firms. The firm rebranded as Cresa in 2012.
Originally, Cresa offered transaction and project management services. Today, the firm offers a broad range of additional tenant focused services including corporate solutions, portfolio strategies, location planning, lease administration, capital markets, mission critical solutions, and facilities services.
Cresa founder William Goade recently stepped down as CEO and was succeeded by James Leslie.
"The founders of Cresa had a vision to build a better corporate real estate services platform," said Goade. "Clients responded to our promise to 'do the right thing' and put their interests first, which is how we've been able to grow into a powerhouse in the industry."
Leslie said, "It is ultimately a reflection of our collaborative culture and team that we were able to become the largest tenant representation firm in North America. Hundreds of people have contributed to our success and I am looking forward to building on the momentum we have achieved to take the company to new heights."
