CoreNet Global - New England Chapter’s president’s message: The next generation of CRE professionals

Here at the CoreNet Global - New England Chapter, we’re known for investing in our early career professionals and providing opportunities for our members to nurture their leadership skills by providing mentorship to the next generation of corporate real estate professionals. With our robust professional development offerings, we believe that by injecting new ideas and innovative thinking into the workplace with the enthusiasm of young professionals eager to make a mark, we’re paving the way for a sustainable future in the industry. The 2024 Cohort of the Young Leaders Professional Development Program kicked off its first class of the year in January 2024 - please join us in welcoming this year’s cohort! This one-year program began in 2015 and unites a maximum of 12 young professionals for a journey of personal and professional development, utilizing senior members of the CRE community and external professionals to elevate understanding of corporate real estate disciplines, provide one-on-one coaching for self-awareness and skill enhancement, culminating in a graduation ceremony at the annual Awards of Excellence dinner in 2025.

The Chapter provides yet another level of professional development with our Leadership 2.0 program, now halfway through their journey of growth and networking, recently sat down with DEI leader from The Equity Project, Dr. Dwinita Mosby Tyler for a deep dive on Equitable Leadership.

Strengthening Our Culture: Where are we Today with DEI?

Applications for the CREST (Commercial Real Estate Success Training) program just closed and we are proud to announce that several of our chapter’s member firms will be participating in the 10-week paid summer internship and mentoring program, supporting talented college students who have been historically underrepresented in our industry. Additionally, the CoreNet Global - New England Chapter will provide a subsidy to up to four of our sponsor firms to help cover the cost of the program. We can’t wait to meet the interns, gaining practical skills that go beyond the classroom. Stay tuned for announcements on the internship and mentorship pairings!
