Cordone of Weichert plunges in icy water for breast cancer program
Anthony Cordone, builder and Realtor at Weichert Regional Properties made his 10th year Icy Plunge on Saturday, January 15th at 9 a.m. on the beach near the conference center in West Haven for the Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
Cordone has raised about $40,000 over the years himself. Last year alone he was able to get $6,100 through donations and sponsorship pledges. "I think that is inspiring that people were so willing to give money to this cause in light of the economy," said Cordone.
Money raised at this event is for local research, and benefits Yale New Haven Hospital, Smilow Cancer Center and the Hospital of Saint Raphael.
