Cook of Cummings Properties signs RC Olsen Cadillac to 3,000 s/f at 475 Wildwood Avenue

RC Olsen Cadillac, in its aim to deliver spotless vehicles, recently opened a proprietary 3,000 s/f detailing center at 475 Wildwood Ave. The building is managed by Cummings Properties, and will act as a final pit stop before the car dealer considers a vehicle ready for delivery to a customer. The detailing center was previously located at the dealership, at 201 Cambridge Rd. The move will reportedly make more space available at that primary site for other parts of the operation. Olsen Cadillac, founded by Richard Olsen, has been selling Cadillacs in Woburn for 50 years, and is now run by the younger Richard Olsen. Derek Cook, leasing director at Cummings Properties, worked directly with Olsen Cadillac on the lease. He noted that the property was formerly home to a drive-in car insurance claim center operated by Travelers. "We were so pleased to be able offer Olsen Cadillac a space that seemed tailor-made for it, including existing improvements that would otherwise have been costly for Olsen to custom build," said Cook. These improvements included a state-mandated floor drainage system with a water/oil separator, and a special carbon monoxide venting system on the roof. The site also offers space for multiple vehicles. Cummings Properties' 10 million s/f of prime space accommodates executive offices, healthcare facilities, laboratories, retail storefronts, warehouses, and more. With a portfolio of this size and variety, the firm can meet almost any commercial real estate need, from 150 to 300,000 square feet. With in-house experts in design, construction, and property management, the firm offers "one-stop shopping" for leasing clients.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
