Conway Country Golf for the Homeless - June 11th at Easton Country Club
Golfers planning to play in the 25th annual Conway Country Charity Golf for the Homeless event June 11th will have a chance at a $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one at Easton Country Club.
Longtime tournament supporter Tiger Home Inspection has pledged the prize as part of their commitment to helping end homelessness in Southeastern Mass.
For more than two decades, Conway Country golfers have helped raise over $400,000 since the tournament's inception in 1984, which went directly to shelters like MainSpring House in Brockton, Conway House in Middleboro and Evelyn House in Stoughton.
It all kicks off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. using a four-person scramble format. In addition to the big prize for the "Hole in One" contest, there will also be prizes for closest to the pin, long drive and low gross scramble (team prize). The $125 player fee includes a cart, luncheon buffet and raffles.
You can sign up for the tournament as an individual player, or register an entire foursome. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For a brochure or more information, call Denis Lilla at 781-871-0080, ext. 327.
"It's always a fun and exciting event," said company chairman Jack Conway. "And this contest will make it bigger and better than ever for the 25th year of the tournament."
"It's to help a worthy cause," said Conway. "We have a strong group of supporters and we're always looking for more golfers and people who want to participate."
