Connolly completes steel for soccer complex

Connolly Brothers, Inc. has completed steel erection for a new 74,000 s/f indoor soccer complex. The $3.4 million facility is expected to open in May. Connolly was hired by developer Mark Mscisz of MRS Management LLC to design and build the Danvers Indoor Sports facility. Connolly was involved early on in the project to provide pre-construction services including estimating, budgeting and assistance in permitting. Mscisz said, "With the completion of four separate regulation-size indoor soccer fields, the Danvers Indoor Sports complex will meet the soaring demand for indoor playing space on the North Shore. While soccer is played around the world even in inclement weather, here in New England - as we're seeing this winter - indoor sports facilities turn a seasonal sport into a year-round activity." Connolly president/owner Stephen Connolly IV said, "We worked with Mark and his partners Kelly and Don Cragg to come up with a design for the 74,000 s/f building to house four indoor soccer fields. It is a pre-engineered steel building with a snack bar, coach's rooms, restrooms, pro shop and a second story mezzanine for viewing the fields. The building will also include a two story fitness and athletic training facility. We are very excited to be a part of this project. Mark Mscisz and the Cragg family are bringing an extremely valuable asset to the local and surrounding communities."

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
