Connecticut/Western Mass. SIORs network at Yankee Stadium Sept. 7th

Over 25 members of The Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors recently met at the Stamford Yacht Club for their quarterly meeting. The meeting was led by its president, Carl Russell, SIOR. Various committees reported on such subjects as Governmental Affairs, Educational Opportunities, Scholarship and Community Service. The meeting was very informative with lively discussion on several topics. The meeting was followed by camaraderie, networking, cocktails and hors doeuvres overlooking Stamford Harbor and Long Island Sound. Members and guests completed the evening over dinner, listening to an informative and entertaining presentation by Jim Randel, attorney/investor/broker. Randel spoke of deal making and the importance of being persistent if you want to be an entrepreneur. Randel is the author of Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur: "What it takes to Win in High Stakes Commercial Real Estate."
