Connecticut CCIM Chapter inducts 2012 officers

On November 17th, the Connecticut CCIM Chapter inducted its 2012 officers which took effect on December 1st at our annual dinner in Cromwell. The Chapter is looking forward to another great year of programs, networking and deal-making. We have already set up six Member Meetings to be held in different locations around the state to encourage participation from all four corners of Connecticut. Our first meeting was held on January 10th at the Water Club in New Haven and the second will be at the Matrix in Danbury on March 13th. Keep an eye out for an email with more details. We had two members sit for the Comprehensive Exam at the annual meeting held in Phoenix in October. Please welcome our newest Designees Brian Miller, CCIM and Peter Stergos, CCIM. We are happy to welcome them into the Chapter. Our regional vice president Jeff Ryer and I were able to attend the Phoenix business meetings. There was a great deal of discussion in break-out sessions that covered items that will affect every chapter including unified dues billing, course revenue sharing and chapter by-law changes. Anyone interested in reading the white papers on these and the other topics covered can log into the CCIM website and tour www.ccim.com/networking/meeting-minutes-2011. For Candidates who expect to take the Comprehensive Exam this year, the Portfolio deadline for the April exam in Kansas City is February 1st. The exam will also be given in Las Vegas in October, where past Chapter president Wayne D'Amico will be installed as our National CCIM president. We are really excited for Wayne and his family. I would be remiss if I did not extend a huge thank you to our 2011 president Bryan Atherton. Bryan has put us in a great position to offer the programs and Member benefits that will help all of us be more successful, not the least of which is appoint our Chapter administrators Shelley Dorsio and Lilly Duka who have made the board's job infinitely easier. In closing, I would like to take a moment to list our Chapter board of directors and committee chairs. I welcome you to contact any of us with questions or comments.
