Con Edison Solutions celebrates 1.1 megawatt solar installation for Jetro Restaurant Depot

Port Chester, NY Con Edison Solutions (CES), a Con Edison Clean Energy Business, is celebrating 18 months of operation of a 1.1 megawatt solar power plant that its CES Danbury Solar subsidiary constructed for Jetro Restaurant Depot at the Jetro’s facility.

This is one of six installations completed for Jetro. Other solar installations are at the company’s Bronx, College Point, and Maspeth facilities. Since the Jetro Port Chester solar power system was placed in service, it has resulted in operational savings and advanced Jetro’s sustainability goals by offsetting 1,068 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually, representing a reduction in CO2 emissions equivalent to conserving 106,225 gallons of gasoline, according to estimates provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

By creating solar power installations for manufacturing, warehouse, office and retail space, CES has been actively meeting the renewable energy needs of businesses in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts for over two decades. CES has been designing solar power systems for commercial clients throughout the northeast and offers solar via Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Community Solar, and other offers to help businesses embrace renewable energy.

Michael Perna, vice president of marketing and business development for CES said, “We can work with businesses and commercial property owners to address their renewable energy and resiliency needs and provide different purchase options that help business take advantage of renewable energy. Jetro has turned to us again and again because they know that solar power reduces operating costs, provides budget certainty and demonstrates a commitment to preserving the environment that their employees and customers appreciate. And Con Edison Solutions can do that for other businesses as well.”
