Columbia named CM for Cell Signaling project

Columbia Construction Company was recently awarded a contract to provide construction management services to expand Cell Signaling Technology, Inc.'s (CST) operations. CST is headquartered in Danvers. The project architect is DTA Architects. The engineering team includes 2020 Engineering (MEP), Goldstein / Milano (structural), and Hayes Engineering (civil). Working with CST for four (4) months of preconstruction, the construction phase includes renovations and upgrades to 22,000 s/f of existing lab and office space. The project's scope also includes significant MEP and utility upgrades, as well as site work. Columbia Const. served as CST's construction manager for the renovation of their world headquarters, in Danvers. Completed in 2006, this project consisted of the adaptive-reuse of the former King's Grant Inn. This complex renovation included 105,000 s/f of new laboratory and office space, and received a LEED Certified rating from the USGBC. Columbia served as LEED project administrator.
