Evan Gallagher, Colliers International

Boston, MA Colliers International, Boston has hired industry leader Evan Gallagher as Cambridge advisor and director of its life sciences team. With more than a decade of commercial real estate brokerage experience and a strong expertise in the Greater Boston life science markets, Gallagher has worked with MIT Lincoln Labs, Vedanta Biosciences, WAVE Life Sciences, Kala Pharmaceuticals and Emulate Bio to name a few. He also further serves the community through his strong support of Camp Jabberwocky in Martha’s Vineyard.

Gallagher has particular expertise in biotech design and engineering best practices and GMP manufacturing facilities. As an established leader in Boston’s commercial real estate community, Gallagher has a deep knowledge of the evolving life sciences landscape throughout Greater Boston which has become a huge asset to his clients.

“We are thrilled to bring Evan Gallagher aboard the Colliers leadership team,” said Jim Elcock, President of Colliers International, Boston. “Colliers has long recognized the importance of the life science sector to the Boston commercial real estate market and has seen it evolve first hand through our involvement with several life science clients. We look forward to the leadership and deep industry knowledge Evan will bring to our team and our clients as we continue to advance in the life sciences space.”

The life sciences market in the Greater Boston area has played a central role in the city’s growth. The combination of a thriving academic community of researchers, and a developing suburban market for laboratory space have propelled Boston’s biotech industry forward. A study released by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) last year found that Massachusetts is matching Silicon Valley’s pace for creating life sciences startups. This growth has created a critical need for laboratory space and commercial real estate firms with specializations in this area have seen opportunities developing across the Greater Boston area.
