Cobb Hill receives ABC NH/VT Excellence in Construction awards

Cobb Hill Construction, Inc. has been honored by the Associated Builders and Contractors of NH/VT (ABC NH/VT) with two Excellence in Construction Awards and one Merit Award. The awards were presented at the 10th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards Banquet held at the Capitol Center for the Arts, October 29. Cobb Hill received two Excellence Awards for their work on the Bedford Village Inn, located in Bedford, and a third Excellence Award for a large, residential home remodel and addition in Manchester. Additionally, they were honored with a Merit Award for their work at the Exeter Inn, located in Exeter. Bedford Village Inn - Excellence in Construction Award, commercial under $1 million Since Cobb Hill's renovations, the Bedford Village Inn has been transformed into a beautiful combination of traditional New England charm complemented by all the modern luxuries that a guest could desire. With the addition of Corks, the Bedford Village Inn is now home to one of the largest and most elegant wine bars in the state. Manchester Renovation & Addition - Excellence in Construction Award, Private Residence, over $1 million Cobb Hill Construction completed significant renovations to this property, ultimately going above and beyond the original scope of the project. Working with home- owners who were traveling during the renovations proved difficult at times; however, the project proved to be exactly what the owners were hoping for. The challenges presented by late design changes could have been cause for concern, but Cobb Hill proved adaptable to change and delivered expert craftsmanship to this newly redesigned home. The Exeter Inn - Merit Award, Historical Restoration The Exeter Inn project entailed an extensive renovation. Cobb Hill was successful in preserving the original architectural details of the building while incorporating efficient modern-day technology. The Exeter Inn has recently become known as one of the premier luxury inns in southern New Hampshire. According to the organization, these biannual Excellence in Construction awards provide ABC with an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of member contractors throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. There are entry categories specific to all trades so the competition is focused and equal. "We are humbled by the recognition that our work has received. Each of these projects represents the hard work and dedication to craftsmanship that our staff instills in everything that they do. We are grateful as a firm and proud of our staff for this honor," said Jerry Kingwill, principal of Cobb Hill.
