Cobb Hill Construction completes two dental offices

Cobb Hill will continue to be the builder of choice for leading dental practices across the state with the completion of extensive renovations to the office of Dr. Rodney Sigua in Concord, and the beginning of ground-up construction of the office of Dr. JD Howard in Dover. Dr. Sigua's office, located at 10 Commercial St., includes 3,940 square feet of space with rooms for three operatories and two hygienist suites. One of the three operatories is located just off a spacious, well-appointed reception and business office area, and is ADA accessible. The remaining square footage includes space for a laboratory, conference room, staff training and lounge areas, and an office for Dr. Sigua. In addition to the internal enhancements, the parking lot has been repaved and the roof has been re-shingled as well. "This is the second dental office we have had the pleasure of working on with Dr. Sigua," said Jerry Kingwill, president of Cobb Hill Construction. "It is important to us to build relationships where our customers feel confident returning to Cobb Hill for the high-quality workmanship and cost-effective project management we are able to deliver." Cobb Hill has also just broken ground on a new dental office for Dr. JD Howard, located at 375 Sixth St. The new 5,500 s/f, one-story building that is being constructed was designed by Warren Street Architects. The modern design of this new dental facility includes nine operatories, four of which are hygienist suites, and sophisticated, upscale patient and staff areas. Chartered with constructing an energy-efficient and maintenance free structure, Cobb Hill is utilizing the relatively new ZIP System wall and roof sheathing system, which combines a structural panel and protective barrier that offers the strength and durability of an oriented strand board panel, but with built-in moisture protection. Once the panels have been installed and the seams taped, this new system prevents water from becoming trapped between the panel and barrier, and eliminates the need for a Tyvek wrap. Prior to beginning construction, an old barn on the site required asbestos abatement before its demolition. Cobb Hill was also involved in extensive pre-construction site work addressing water erosion and underground services. "We are excited to work with Dr. Howard on a beautiful new building that will not only showcase skilled craftsmanship and sophisticated appointments, but also the latest in construction techniques that will make the building more energy efficient for our client as well," said Kingwill.
