Center for Applied Behavioral Instruction receives $2 million in financing from Rockland Trust

Worcester, MA The Center for Applied Behavioral Instruction Inc., (CABI) a day school, secured $2 million in financing from Rockland Trust. The funds will be used to purchase a second location in the city to expand their school operations. CABI is a 501(3)c nonprofit special education school for students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) aged 6-22 living within a one-hour radius of the city and who are struggling in their local public-school setting.

“We are so thrilled to continue our collaboration with Rockland Trust on this expansion for CABI and its students. We have worked in partnership with Rockland Trust since our inception as a school and through this relationship we have been able to continue our growth and provide opportunities for our students to continue their growth,” said Brian Doyle, Ed.D, BCBA-D, LABA founder & executive director for CABI. “We look forward to our expansion, which will provide much needed educational services to our high school and transitional student population.”

The property at 80 Williams St. was previously part of Clark University. Due to its prior use as an educational facility, there will be minimal renovations needed before the building can open for CABI students. Once opened, the new facility will enable the school to enroll 32 additional students.

“As a community-oriented bank, Rockland Trust is always looking for opportunities to invest in the communities we serve,” said Darin Foster, vice president, commercial loan officer at Rockland Trust. “We are honored to be part of this meaningful project with CABI. With this financing the school can now expand their reach working with individuals and aiding them in developing a variety of life skills.”
