Carlson of RFR Realty leases 22,987 s/f at Two Stamford Plaza

According to RFR Realty, Wiggin and Dana LLP has leased 22,987 s/f for an 11-year term at Two Stamford Plaza. The law firm will relocate its Stamford offices from 400 Atlantic St. to Two Stamford Plaza in May. The firm will complete a build out of the seventh floor space before relocating, bringing the building to 96% occupancy. Wiggin and Dana chose Stamford Plaza based on the property's extensive amenities, recent renovations, proximity to the Stamford Transportation Center, and highway access. RFR's attention to detail and reputable building management were also key factors in Wiggin and Dana's selection of Stamford Plaza. Wiggin and Dana, which celebrated its 75th year in 2009, is a regional law firm with a global reach. The firm employs over 135 attorneys in five offices throughout the Northeast including Connecticut, New York City and Philadelphia, and counsels corporate, institutional and individual clients. Margaret Carlson, RFR Realty's Stamford portfolio director, represented the property owner in the transaction negotiations. Wiggin and Dana was represented by Ed Tonnessen, George Walker, and John Stoddard of Jones Lang LaSalle. Two Stamford Plaza is a highly visible 16-story, 251,500 s/f office tower located at 281 Tresser Blvd. directly adjacent to I-95. The building shares a common atrium with One Stamford Plaza and has its own private lobby. Amenities at Stamford Plaza include 24/7 manned security, state of the art telecommunications, attached parking garage, fitness center, conference facility, cafeteria, sundries shop, ATM, dry cleaner, car wash/detailing, and a private shuttle to the Stamford train station. RFR Realty owns and manages seven Class A Stamford office buildings totaling 1.8 million s/f and is one of the largest office property owners in the Stamford CBD market. The portfolio includes One, Two, Three, and Four Stamford Plaza, 177 Broad St., 300 Atlantic St., and Canterbury Green.
