Caprioli Painting and CPI Floor honored by ABC NH/VT

Caprioli Painting and CPI Floor Coatings, a Newmarket based contractor, has been named a recipient of a Merit Award for Construction Excellence. The award was given by the New Hampshire/Vermont Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC). Caprioli Painting and CPI Floor Coatings project award is in the Community Service Category. The award was given for their work on the New Horizon Homeless Shelter in Manchester in conjunction with Benjamin Moore Color Care across America. Caprioli Painting and CPI Floor Coatings was selected by an independent panel of judges as recipients of an ABC Excellence In Construction Award. In 2011, Caprioli Painting was contacted by phone by The Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, asking if we would be interested in participating with Benjamin Moore Paints in a project called "Color Care Across America". This project was created as a community service event where Benjamin Moore Paints along with one painting contractor from each state in the USA donated time and materials to paint one homeless shelter in each state. Of course Caprioli Painting agreed to help out and we were later contacted by The Color Care Across America coordinator Michele Shen from Benjamin Moore and we picked a date to paint the inside of New Horizons. Caprioli Painting went in between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm on a weekday and proceeded to paint 2 coats on the interior walls of the entire building. The project came to a total of 128 man-hours and $5,120 donated. The project was completed early and New Horizons was able to open at 5:00pm for dinner without disruption. The Award Winners were determined through an extensive process by the judges, based on execution of design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, safety and other considerations.
