Caprio joins Homestar Mortgage as loan officer

Providence, RI According to Homestar Mortgage, Michele Caprio has joined the company as a mortgage loan officer. Caprio has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, as a broker, appraiser and investor. She is looking forward to putting that knowledge to work for the clients of Homestar Mortgage.

“We are pleased to welcome Michele to our team,” said Steve Tetzner, president of Homestar. “She brings a wealth of experience to the position, and I am confident our clients will benefit from her professionalism and commitment to superior customer service.”

Caprio most recently served as chief executive officer for the Las Vegas Association of Realtors in Nevada. She also worked as chief executive officer for the Greater Providence Board of Realtors, a professional trade association that works to promote homeownership and integrity in the real estate business.

“I am excited to join the staff of Homestar Mortgage,” said Caprio. “The reputation of this company speaks for itself, and I believe my extensive knowledge of the real estate industry will be a tremendous asset to the clients of Homestar Mortgage.”

Caprio holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Rhode Island. She also maintains the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation from the Realtor organization. She resides in Hope, RI and has two grown sons. In her spare time, she volunteers with Junior Achievement, an organization committed to teaching financial literacy to young people.

Homestar Mortgage is one of Rhode Island’s largest independent mortgage lenders and brokers, offering home and commercial loans, constructions loans, reverse mortgages, and refinancing programs. With offices in Providence and Wakefield, Homestar is a licensed mortgage lender and broker in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida. Homestar was founded by Carl and Stephen Tetzner, who combined have over 60 years of mortgage expertise, and are backed by a team of over 12 loan officers.
