Campanelli Construction tops out 80,000 s/f South Shore Medical Center's new facility

A "topping out" ceremony was held at the South Shore Medical Center's new facility currently under construction at Longwater Place. The final steel beam used in erecting the framework of the structure was signed by workers from Campanelli Construction, construction manager on the project, along with representatives from South Shore Medical Center and Foxrock Properties, who are jointly developing the new facility. South Shore Medical Center's new 80,000 s/f facility is scheduled to open late this year. The building will offer more convenient patient access to medical services in one location, and features expansive parking, waiting and care areas, and more advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment. While signing the steel beam, Dr. Stan Sacon, CEO of South Shore Medical Center, said, "We are thrilled with the progress being made in the construction of our new building, and we are very much looking forward to serving our patients in this exceptional new facility." "Campanelli Construction is pleased to report that the project is on schedule due to the efforts of the project team including Foxrock, South Shore Medical, Murphy & McManus, SBA Architects, and the numerous subcontractors and workers who have dedicated their time and efforts to making this a successful project thus far. We are now pushing ahead to the next phases of the project, the building façade and interior fit out," said Dave Vroman, construction project executive.
