CambridgeSeven promotes seven team members

Cambridge, MA CambridgeSeven has promoted seven team members in recognition of their significant contributions to advancing the firm’s practice through leadership, design, client service, peer mentoring, sustainability and project management.

“It’s always incredibly rewarding to see dedicated employees develop professionally and advance in their careers with us as they contribute to our success as a company,” said Gary Johnson, president of CambridgeSeven.  “These promotions are a testament to the depth of talent we have in all of our firm’s areas of expertise. As these team members take on additional responsibilities in their new roles, we know they will continue to be leaders and help us maintain CambridgeSeven’s continued growth.”  

Bradley Converse, AIA: Associate Principal Bradley has played a key role on the design teams for several of CambridgeSeven’s most notable aquarium and museum projects, including the award-winning “Blacktip Reef” at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Brad’s work also includes aquarium and museum projects in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, among them an addition that will more than double the size of The Scientific Center in Kuwait. More recently, Brad has been Project Architect for the complex transformation of a mid-century office building for the Four Seasons New Orleans Hotel and Residences.

Sumi Fasolo, AIA: Senior Associate Sumi contributes to the planning and design of several of CambridgeSeven’s most complex academic and institutional projects. An accomplished architect with a creative and analytical approach to projects, her experience encompasses academic, healthcare, hospitality, museum, aquarium and mixed-use development projects. Sumi has served as an instructor at the Boston Architectural College, where she is also a Guest Critic.  In addition to her work as an architect, Sumi is also a violinist with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra.

Kristen Lawson, AIA: Senior Associate Kirsten provides architectural design and construction administration services for several projects at CambridgeSeven, with a particular emphasis on hospitality, academic, and commercial work. Recent projects include the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences, One Dalton and 30 Dalton Street Residences in Boston. Kirsten is a registered architect in Massachusetts and applies her interest in interiors and finishes and her keen sense of color to further advance CambridgeSeven’s interior design and residential portfolio.  

Sharon Clarke, AIA: Senior Associate Sharon is a talented and detail-driven architect who has applied her expertise to several of the firm’s recent museum and aquarium projects. From visitor experience to the complexities of live animal exhibits, Sharon’s understanding of aquarium and museum design details make her an invaluable member of CambridgeSeven’s design team. In addition to her contributions to the design of the firm’s significant, recent aquarium undertakings, Sharon has also regularly shared her expertise in presentations and lectures.

Amy Hastings, AIA, LEED AP: Associate Known for her skill at managing complex design projects, Amy Hastings returns to CambridgeSeven with a unique, client-side perspective. As co-chair of her town’s building committee, Amy was responsible for integrating the multiple interests of a successful civic building venture, an experience that informs her current project work, which includes hospitality and aquarium design. Amy is committed to sharing her experience through teaching at the Boston Architectural College. While at CambridgeSeven, Amy has successfully contributed to the design and coordination of several project types including aquariums, hotels, corporate offices, and historic renovations.

Jacob Bloom: Associate With a background in technical theater, Jacob Bloom brings a specific knowledge of lighting and acoustics to his projects at CambridgeSeven, as well as his role as a valuable team resource in tackling complex building details. His project experience includes both local and international hospitality projects as well as mixed use development. In addition to his project experience at CambridgeSeven, Jacob was a teaching assistant for Technique and Theory of Digital Design while he studied at UCLA. Currently, Jacob is overseeing Construction Administration for a soon-to-be Hilton Garden Inn in Brookline.

Wei Gao, AIA: Associate Wei Gao’s passion for design is expressed through all aspects of her life, including her fearless approach to weekend construction and renovation projects. She is a dedicated project coordinator and designer with a focus on large-scale hospitality and residential projects. Recent projects include the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences, One Dalton, the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences, New Orleans and New Orleans Ferry Terminal currently underway.
