Callahan and Northbridge Cos.break ground on 36,000 s/f

Callahan, Inc. and Northbridge Companies recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new $6.9 million Avita Memory Care Center. In attendance were: Northbridge Cos., owner; Waypoint, owner's rep; Callahan executives and staff, construction manager; and Needham Bank executives. This project will be a 36,000 s/f, two story wood frame structure consisting of 62 units intended for the constant care of patients with memory issues. The building is on a 4 acre parcel in Needham. It includes a commercial kitchen, a "brain gym," a beauty salon and an assembly room. Callahan is self performing all sitework on the project. The development has been underway since March and will be completed in March of 2011. The architect on this project is The Architectural Team.
