Cabot & Company handles sale of two Comm. Ave. brownstones for $16.1m

Boston, MA Cabot & Company has closed the $16.1 million sale of two side-by-side brownstones on Commonwealth Ave. in Back Bay. Configured as seventeen apartments, including a penthouse with a private roof deck, and seven to eight parking spaces. The property was most recently operated as high-end furnished apartments and much of the Victorian detail and charm has been preserved.

Joseph Palermino, managing partner of Cabot & Co., represented the seller, a trust representing a family that had owned this treasured property for nearly 45 years. Shelagh Brennan, executive vice president of Cabot & Co., represented the buyer.

“This trophy property drew tremendous interest across all different buyer types, ranging from developers and investors to owner-occupants,” said Palermino.
