Bufftree Building completes 64,000 s/f Kingsbury Club Medfield

The construction of a new $2.9 million Kingsbury Club health and fitness facility on Ice House Rd. is now complete. General contractor Bufftree Building Co. performed an interior fit-out of the facility's two floors. The ground floor includes the main reception area, offices and a locker section with saunas and steam rooms plus a bar and lounge. The second floor, containing fitness equipment with a strength training area and separate group exercise rooms, has wood floors and mirrored walls. Graham/Meus Architects designed the 64,000 s/f fitness center. "This project gave us the opportunity to create an environment for the members that helps to deliver the incomparable services that the Kingsbury Club is noted for," said Dean Kelliher, Bufftree project manager. "We are pleased to have a role in promoting the Club's goal of providing programs and activities that lead to a healthier lifestyle." Kingsbury Club Medfield (KCM) has teamed up with tennis pro Tim Mayotte, the greatest tennis player to come out of New England in the "open tennis" era, to offer members private lessons, clinics and team practices on a periodic basis throughout the year. Heading up the fitness department is Kathy McLean, an all-around fitness enthusiast who has been managing in the health industry for several years.
