Boston Realty Advisors to sell Resort & Conference Center at Hyannis - formally owned and operated by Starwood Hotels

Boston Realty Advisors (BRA) has been retained to market the sale of the Resort & Conference Center at Hyannis. The resort was formally owned and operated by Starwood Hotels, as it was branded as The Hyannis Sheraton. The resort is made up of 232 spacious guest rooms and suites, 31,000 s/f of meeting and conference space with the ability to host a 900-person event, spa, gym, indoor and outdoor pools, full-service restaurant and bar and a 18-hole par 3 golf course located on 54.3 acres. The resort is located one mile from the beach, walking distance to the downtown, the Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Ferries. The resort is one of Cape Cod's largest hospitality assets and one of the Cape's only convention centers. This is one of the last opportunities to acquire an irreplaceable unencumbered asset on Cape Cod. Brandon Tarpey, hospitality advisor for BRA, said, "This presents a unique opportunity to acquire one of largest hospitality assets in Cape Cod that offers the size and scope to create an entire new and exciting concept or continue the operation of a highly successful cash flowing business. The new owner will also benefit from the incredible new development in Hyannis, that has attracted companies such as JetBlue and Whole Foods arriving in 2014 that is certain to bring a new crowd to Cape Cod." Jason Weissman, principal and founder of BRA said, "The 18 hole golf course could be potentially redeveloped. Many uses have been discussed, such as residential subdivision, time share and other related conference center use."
