Boston Properties co-founder and CEO, Edward Linde, passed away

Edward Linde, 67, co-founder and chief executive officer of Boston Properties, died as a result of complications from pneumonia. Mortimer Zuckerman, co-founder and chairman of the board, has assumed the duties of chief executive officer. Boston Props. is working on Russia Wharf, a 31-story, 750,000 s/f office tower at Atlantic Ave. and Congress St. to be completed in 2011. Boston Props. is a fully integrated, self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust that develops, redevelops, acquires, manages, operates and owns a property portfolio primarily comprised of class A office space and one hotel. The company is one of the largest owners and developers of class A office properties in the United States, concentrated in five markets - Boston, Midtown Manhattan, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Princeton, N.J.
