Bond selected by Fitchburg State Univ. for $42 million addition/renovation

Bond's building division was selected by Fitchburg State University to construct an addition and renovate the Condike Science Center. Bond was awarded a $42 million contract to construct a new 54,700 s/f addition that will include biology and chemistry teaching and research laboratories, classrooms, and support functions. In addition they will renovate the exiting building which provides space for physics and geo-physical sciences, classrooms, and faculty offices on the 31-acre campus. Bond will be working with CBT Architects of Boston on the 98,600 s/f combined addition and renovation which is expected to be completed in January of 2014. "We are excited to work on this project, and confident that our knowledge and proven experience will complement our client's dedication to delivering a high quality product for their students and faculty," said Bob Murray, president of Bond.
