Facility, maintenance and engineering personnel should attend this event! September is Emergency Preparedness Month and the BOMA Boston Emergency Preparedness Committee has planned the September Roundtable on Partnering with the Public-Sector Law Enforcement Agencies. The September Roundtable will be an open dialogue with public sector law-enforcement leaders in the city. Representatives from the Transit Police Department, Boston Police Department - District 4, Boston Police Department - District 1 and the Boston Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC) will discuss the outstanding partnerships that have been created between police and the business community in their respective jurisdictions and provide the group with updates and examples of how these relationships have benefited both the law-enforcement and business communities in Boston as well as the importance of sustaining these partnerships going forward. The September Roundtable will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at the BOMA Offices at One Center Plaza. On, Wednesday, September 24, BOMA Members and guests will have an opportunity to have an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of ONE Marina Park Drive and Fan Pier. Built in 2010 as one of the newest and most innovative developments on the South Boston Waterfront, ONE Marina Park Drive at Fan Pier is one of the Seaport's most impressive work-live-play properties. ONE Marina Park Drive was Boston's first building to be LEED Gold Certified upon its completion and has welcomed ten new tenants over the past two years. As the first office building of the Fan Pier Development, the property also incorporates some great features such as the Public Green, the Fan Pier Marina, the Cricket, and is the home of two high end restaurants. 2014 BOMA TOBY & Industry Awards: Each year, the TOBY & Industry Awards recognize the best and brightest in property management, building operations, and service in the real estate industry. There are 16 categories for The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards, and 9 categories for the Industry Awards. Since the TOBYs are nationally recognized, the local winners move on to regional competition, and hopefully International competition. Join us on Wednesday, November 19 for The TOBY Industry & Awards Dinner to find out who the region's best buildings are! This is BOMA Boston's single largest gathering with close to 600 in attendance. For more information, please visit www.bomaboston.org.
