Bergin of Pearce Real Estate completes sale of two properties totaling $680,000

Milford, CT According to Barbara Pearce, CEO and president of Pearce Real Estate, John Bergin, Pearce senior commercial specialist, sold two properties as a single transaction for $680,000. Bergin represented both the seller at 81 Munson St. and 90-92 Opal St. and the buyer. The seller of the properties is Shelton attorney Matthew Reale, successor trustee of the William MacFarland Testamentary Trust, along with attorney Thomas Welch of Welch, Teodosio, Stanek and Blake of Shelton. The buyer is Summit Trucking, Tree and Lawn Service, a company which offers quality construction services, dumpster rentals, trucking services, lawn installation, landscape design and tree removal in New Haven and Fairfield counties. The 5,700 s/f industrial building at 81 Munson St. will be used as new headquarters for Summit, and is immediately in front of the two family house at 90-92 Opal St.

“John Bergin is a veteran commercial agent who is an inspiration and role-model for newer members of our commercial staff,” said Pearce. “His professional demeanor with clients and his vast experience in the field distinguish him, and us, as leaders in the commercial market.” 

Bergin has been a real estate broker since 1984, specializing in commercial and industrial lease and sale properties. Before entering the commercial real estate field, he had a fifteen year career in the information field with a Fortune 500 corporation, and was a senior sales executive for major accounts such as Sikorsky, Allied Signal, Burndy, and all Fairfield county board of education systems. A lifelong resident of Milford, he received his degree in marketing and finance from Nichols College of Business Administration in Massachusetts. He and his wife are the parents of a son and two daughters, and the grandparents of three grandsons and a granddaughter.

Mr. Bergin holds memberships in the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors® (GNHAR), Connecticut Association of Realtors® (CAR), National Association of Realtors® (NAR), and the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the GNHAR. Over the past decade, he has been the recipient of ten CID “Deal of the Year” recognitions for land sales, industrial sales, and investment sales. He is a past president of the Milford Literacy Center, past president of The Milford Club, a director of the Milford Chamber of Commerce, member of Milford Progress, and chairman of the literacy committee for the Devon Rotary Club.
