BayCoast Bank names Palmer branch manager of new Westport location

BayCoast Bank, formerly Citizens~Union Savings Bank, has appointed Gina Palmer to the position of branch manager/assistant treasurer. In this role, she will lead the operations of the bank's newest branch, located at Main Rd. in the Central Village section. Her duties will include building business in the area, managing daily branch operations and overseeing the branch staff. Palmer brings with her over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining BayCoast Bank, she worked as a branch manager at Sovereign/Santander, and before that was employed with Compass Bank and Shawmut Bank. She studied at UMass Dartmouth and has earned several certifications specific to the banking industry. She has successfully completed the MA "Bankers Branch Manager 1 & 2" courses held at Babson College, as well as "Branch Banking and Sales" at Fairfield University. Palmer is a former member of the Westport Lions Club, has volunteered for the "Savings Makes Cents" financial literacy program, and is a school volunteer reader. She is also a MA Notary Public.
