Avison Young appoints Dolan as managing director for New England market

John Dolan

Boston, MA Avison Young appointed John Dolan as managing director of the New England market which includes offices in both Boston and Hartford. He will take on the leadership role and focus on talent recruitment, client services and business development opportunities. Dolan joined the firm as principal in February 2021, and will continue to grow Avison Young’s multidisciplinary service lines and enhance the firm’s presence across the New England region.

“John is a proven leader and a champion of multi-market occupier services within the commercial real estate industry and I’m excited to have him take on the role of managing director in New England,” said Juan Bueno, principal and U.S. president. “John has been a natural fit for Avison Young’s people-focused culture since joining in 2021. His collaborative approach will continue to broaden and strengthen our foundation across the U.S. northeast region.”

Dolan will oversee and develop the firm’s real estate services in the New England market, collaborate with service line leaders and supervise day-to-day operations. He has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience and has worked for a variety of central and south Rte. 128 market clients. In his tenure, Dolan provided guidance on occupiers’ return-to-office policies so they can utilize their space effectively and realize cost-saving opportunities that arise.

“Avison Young continues to make a positive impact for the office, life science, and industrial occupiers in the New England market,” said Dolan. “This is a transformational time for growth and expansion and I look forward to partnering with our Avison Young teams to continue fostering a consultative, data-driven approach to providing real estate solutions to our clients.”

Dolan will succeed Tom Collins, principal and managing director, who has retired.  Collins enabled Avison Young’s New England practice to grow and evolve for nearly five years with the recruitment of top tier talent and acquisitions of multidisciplinary real estate firms.
