Aspen Aerogels expanding 3 Dexter Road facility

Aspen Aerogels is expanding its 3 Dexter Rd. facility. The company's $30 million Line 3 project is the first step in its long-term strategy to expand production capacity. The project will increase the 142,675 s/f facility's capacity by 25% . Improvements are being made to the facility's fluid handling, sewer connection, air flow and waste collection in accordance with applicable environmental, health and safety regulations. A/Z Corp. is a project subcontractor. "We pride ourselves on the safety and quality of our facility," said Ball. "Our departments are working together to contribute to the design's upfront requirements, 3D model reviews, safety and environmental assessments." Aspen's Line 3 is expected to be completed by June 2015.
