Natick, MA The Massachusetts Parole Board has entered into a new long-term lease agreement after Metrowest Commercial Real Estate’s proposal was selected from a sealed Request For Proposal (RFP). The proposal was for its current location at 12 Mercer Rd.
The 17,774 s/f facility was renovated with upgrades including a new fenced sally port with an electric gate, upgraded ballistic glass in lobby, new parole board tables, new defense table and a modified seating area separating families and victims, network wiring upgraded to Cat 6 cabling, two EV charging stations, new signage & mailboxes, new flooring & fresh paint throughout the building.
The extension to the original lease was facilitated by Marlene Aron, principal of Metrowest Commercial Real Estate who represented the landlord, Mercer Realty LLC, in this transaction and the original lease 10 years ago. Aron said, “State leases, including construction which was done while the tenant was operating at the site, made this a very challenging assignment. Walker Construction of Marlboro handled the build-out requirements and all parties were very pleased with the outcome.”
