Allyn of Allyn & Association elected mayor of Ledyard
Allyn and Associates' founding broker and commercial agent, Fred Allyn Jr., has been elected mayor of Ledyard. He was sworn in on December 3rd and is devoting his full attention to the town. Fred Allyn III, current broker and owner of Allyn and Associates, will be handling Fred Allyn Jr.'s clients.
Fred Jr. has been a licensed real estate broker since 1966. A graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., Allyn served in the U.S. Army before returning to Connecticut in 1970 to open an insurance agency. Having grown the business to three offices serving southeastern Conn., he sold the insurance business and focused on real estate. Allyn's clients have included Wendy's, Hoyt's Theaters, Rent-A-Center, and Price Chopper Grocery Stores.
