ACEC/MA names Woodard & Curran as Award Winner for work on the UNH Water Treatment Plant

Durham, NH The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Woodard & Curran as a 2021 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award winner for their work on the University of New Hampshire’s (UNH) Water Treatment Plant.

UNH hired design-build project team Woodard & Curran and Waterline Industries to design and construct a new water treatment plant to replace its antiquated, 85-year-old facility. The new plant, designed to treat up to two-million gallons of water per day from three unique raw water sources, utilizes an efficient, zero-liquid discharge treatment process to deliver quality water to the university’s campus and the town.

Founded in 1979, Woodard & Curran is a Portland, Maine-based integrated engineering, science and operations company with national presence. Privately held and steadily growing, they serve public and private clients across the country.
