ABC-Mass. Chapter's 2008 membership drive off to a great start - 31 new members recruited on day one

ABC's 2008 membership drive kicked off on October 7 with a bang, with 31 members recruited in one day! The board of directors and the membership committee launched the drive with a spirited day-long phone-a-thon. To add to the great start the board and membership committee have provided, ABC is asking each current member to join in the effort and recruit a new member into ABC. "More members means more clout, and this more opportunities for member firms," said ABC vice president/director of membership Jim Abbott. The goal is to recruit 50 members this month. "This will put us within striking distance of the 500-member mark, a real "strength-in-numbers" milestone," said Abbott. Abbott is urging members to let their non-member colleagues know that in this very challenging economy, there is real value in ABC's programs, services and assistance. In fact, many of the 31 companies that joined ABC in yesterday's phone-a-thon said they wanted to join now to have ABC's help in these difficult times. Members who join this month save 10 percent and receive 14 months for the price of 12. For more information on ABC membership, simply contact Jim Abbott at 781-273-0123 or jim@abcma.org.
