Abbot Building Restoration completes facade maintenance on 13-story office

Abbot Building Restoration Co., Inc. recently completed a maintenance project on the exterior façade of a 13-story pre-cast concrete mixed-use office and commercial building located at 141 Tremont St. at the corner of Tremont and West Sts. Abbot had originally completed maintenance work on the Tremont St. side of the high-rise building for the original owner, The Flatley Company, in 2010. Not too long after the completion of the work, Flatley sold the building to Synergy Financial, LLC who coincidentally contracted Abbot to complete the maintenance work on the West St. side. The project included cutting out the old caulking around the perimeter of the large windows and recaulking the windows, as well as recaulking all of the pre-cast expansion joints. Abbot then repaired several areas of the concrete on the façade with special colored masonry material to complete the project. Abbot prides itself on performing work that upon completion looks like no repairs had been performed. Abbot provides a broad range of masonry construction services to public, institutional, and commercial clients, including condominiums, property management entities, and private residences. The firm also acts as a general contractor for a variety of masonry building construction projects. Specific areas of expertise include: Brick and stone restoration Repointing and recaulking Concrete repair and protection Abbot Building Restoration Company, Inc., 28 Allerton Street, Boston, MA 02119 617-445-0274 * www.abbotbuilding.com
