I think it was1969 I was working in the real estate department of Star Market Co. and I saw an issue of the New England Real Estate Journal. That is when I realized that the founder of the publication, Roland Hopkins, was also a disc jockey in Portland, Maine at the Stevens Amory when I was in high school. Rolly and I reconnected again through Steve Karp and have remained friends since "old friends are the best friends". "I'll never forget attending Suffolk Downs as Rolly's guest with my wife for a luncheon and watching one of Rolly's race horses, Nevermadenewyork, win. We all had our picture taken in the winner's circle, and I still have it framed on my wall at home. In what way has the New England Real Estate Journal been a benefit to you and your business? It keeps everyone up to date on what was going on in the world of real estate in New England. I got a lead from the paper in 1978 while at State Properties of New England and sold the property Dom Saraceno. How long have you been affiliated with the commercial real estate industry? I have been in the industry since 1965. I began at Star Market Co. real estate department, then at State Properties of New England and now at Saracen Properties.
