2024 Women in Construction: Morgan Carroll, Bowdoin Construction

Morgan Carroll
Assistant Project Manager
Bowdoin Construction

What is your favorite / most beneficial part of Women in Construction week?

My favorite part of Women in Construction week is seeing so many talented and powerful women get recognized for their success and be highlighted within the industry. By spotlighting trailblazers in the business, it helps inspire those who may want to begin a career in construction. Having that strong representation equates to triumphs now and in the future. Cheering on fellow peers for their victories is contagious, and I hope it continues to spread. We, Women in Construction, need to be the change we want to see in the world.

Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry?

The person who inspired me the most to join the AEC industry is my dad. He has been in real estate, project management, and construction with a nationally accredited bank for over 42 years. He has taught me and my siblings a significant amount about his world over the years. So much so, that both my sister and I are working in the AEC industry. He has been someone I look up to, I confide in, bounce ideas off, and learn best practices from. This is not just a job, it’s my career. My passion. All thanks to my dad.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.

The 2024 CRE markets: “The Ups” (industrial) and “The Downs” (Boston class B/C office) - by Webster Collins
