What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? In the past 12 months, my greatest professional achievement has been fully transitioning from a dual project management/business development role to a full business development role at JDL. The opportunity to fully embrace BD transpired only recently, as there has been a need for me to run specific projects over the last five years. Through this transition, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the industry’s broader dynamics. Now that I am fully immersed in BD, I find fulfillment in building connections, showcasing JDL’s capabilities to potential new clients and offering both existing and new clients unparalleled services. This shift signifies not just a career move, but a realization of my true calling within the company after a decade of dedication and growth.

Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry? The inspiration for me to join the AEC industry stemmed from my dad. His nearly 24-year tenure at Cresa Boston intrigued me. Our dinner table conversations often revolved around his career, projects and insights. His connections are what paved the way for me to enter the industry, eventually finding my home at JDL Corporate Interiors. His passion and experience ignited my interest and set me on a fulfilling path within the industry.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
