2022 Year in Review: Nancy Bailey, Rockland Trust Bank

Nancy Bailey
SVP, Commercial Lending Center Manager
Rockland Trust Bank

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year?

Over the last several years, the real estate industry has demonstrated high prices and low inventory. Combined with stagnant supply chains and record interest rates, and the result is a market that is increasingly difficult to navigate. I am proud of the work of our team at Rockland Trust, however, as we continue to actively lend and find tailored solutions to address the needs of our customers. I look forward to seeing what 2023 brings, especially as the bank is optimistic that interest rates will begin to settle in the coming months.

What was your most important professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022?

I am fortunate enough to have worked in financial services for several decades. Having worked through various economic shifts, such as the one we are currently experiencing, has granted me the expertise to better aid my colleagues with the balancing of customer needs and market volatility. Ultimately, being able to share my experience and work collaboratively with rising lenders has been extremely rewarding.
