Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry? Intrigued by human behavior, I briefly considered art therapy as a profession. However, after exposure to interior design, I began to understand its ability to improve the human condition through the built environment. I decided to pursue a degree at the New England School of Art & Design, and never looked back. The marriage of these passions continues to drive my ambition to bring wellness and beauty into the daily lives of my clients.
What are your goals for the future? My goal is to balance continued growth as a designer with my role as a firm leader. I believe the evolution of craft is essential for becoming the best you can be, so fostering my own development is important. That said, I am passionate about mentoring and educating the next generation. Whether I’m training on creative execution or counseling on general staffing issues, the process of building a vibrant and viable workplace is magical to me. When I am able to devote time and energy to both endeavors, it’s a great day.
