In the last 12 months what accomplishment are you most proud of? I was brought in to manage the design of a wastewater sludge dewatering system upgrade at the Seabrook, NH Wastewater Treatment Facility after the current project manager left the firm. Even though I was already busy with other projects, I led the multi-disciplinary team from 60% to a 100% design package in a span of four months, while meeting state funding requirements and setting up various bid alternatives in the project scope. 

How do you balance your rising career with your personal life? I have always defined success as being synonymous with happiness. Find what you love and do it well. I thoroughly enjoy the career that I am in, which makes it easier for me in the transition between personal life and work. I strive to be thoughtful and intentional in both work and my personal life, which has proved to be the best source of happiness for me.

Who are the key people in your life that have contributed to your success? My parents have always instilled two important qualities in me – be kind to everyone and work hard. These are the foundation of my life and my career. My wife also influences my life and career, encouraging me that I can do anything and supporting me in my endeavors. The combination of these people and life lessons I’ve learned make up the recipe that I follow for success.

Outside of your career, where else do you seek continuous learning and personal growth? Meaningful relationships and activities that bring me joy are where I find the greatest learning and growth. I try to push myself, whether it be skiing, investing in a friendship, or reaching for knowledge about something I am passionate about. The world can be a cruel place, but I seek out positive results from the things that I can control, and react to those that I cannot control.
