What made you interested in seeking a career in the AEC industry? I started my career in a retail brand’s interiors division and fell in love with construction. From day-to-day, job to job, things are always changing, keeping me interested and wanting to learn. I never get bored – and for me that’s very important. I enjoy working with different teams from design and engineering through construction, alongside site contractors, to get projects to the finish line. Construction has many moving parts, and you must be flexible and ready to adjust. Seeing a project transform from a thought to the finished product is very satisfying. Being part of something great keeps me in this industry.

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
