2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Tony Sealey, Chapman Construction / Design

Tony Sealey
Assistant Project Manager
Chapman Construction / Design

Number of years at firm: 1.6

One thing on my bucket list: Take a civilian flight to space!

When I am not working, I am: Enjoying family time & exploring the New England coast!

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? The project I am most proud of is the switchgear upgrade for a research & development company in Cambridge, Mass. We faced some logistical challenges as this upgrade would require two separate full building power shutdowns throughout the project, both of which would last 48 hours. Working closely with the client, building facilities team, and the electrical contractor, we were able to come up with a plan to be least impactful by performing the shutdowns continuously, with rotating shifts. In the end, the client was extremely pleased and has awarded Chapman to upgrade the remaining switchgear(s), including a generator upgrade.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?

“Tony has been a pleasure to work with. He’s motivated & eager to learn all aspects of the project at hand. Over the past year, Tony has become a Certified Passive House Builder & has also received his Healthcare Physical Environment Workers Certificate.” - Jason Grinacoff, Project Executive at Chapman Construction / Design

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.

The 2024 CRE markets: “The Ups” (industrial) and “The Downs” (Boston class B/C office) - by Webster Collins
