Mandeep Banwait
Electrical Engineer, Project Manager
AKF Group

Number of years at firm: 5

One thing on my bucket list: Travel and explore different countries around the world. I plan to travel to Japan this year with my wife. We enjoy learning more about life from different cultures.

When I am not working, I am: I enjoy reading a variety of books. Some of my favorite book genres are fictional history, novels, history, social philosophy and non-fiction on health and wellness.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? BIDMC East Campus Power Separation project. AKF has been working for several years on this multi-staged project to upgrade the entire electrical infrastructure of an existing active in-patient healthcare building. The project highlights the difficulty and the time required to upgrade older existing active in-patient healthcare buildings to the latest building codes and standards.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?
“Mandeep demonstrates an excellent work ethic and naturally builds rapport with team members and clients. His positivity and client-focused personality contribute to his success as a collaborative project manager and solution-based engineer. Fluent in three languages, Mandeep uses his international experience to help shape his designs and collaborate with diverse teams.” - Caitlyn Angelini, Partner at AKF Group
